A Complete Circuit of Rutland Water
It took place on the 15th July. It was a scorching hot day, and the participants were (Shown left to right on the photo) Pete’s daughter, Frank Wheatcroft (MS Fundraiser), Pete, Alan Stevens (Chairman) and Pete’s son.
It took just under 4 hours to comp[lete the course which is about 18 miles. Pete was knackered afterwards and his scooter has never been the same since!
Frank had not been on a bike for 20 years and when he first got on it he said 'haven’t you got one with a softer seat?’!
No we didn’t, so he suffered. He packed the saddle with all sorts, a cushion from Pete’s scooter, clothes, but he still hurts. He‘s still walking like John Wayne!
